Times and Epochs Festival to be Held in Moscow

The “Times and Epochs” festival will transform Moscow into a living history museum from June 11 to 15. Over two thousand reenactors are set to bring various historical periods to life across numerous venues in the capital.

Visitors can expect a diverse program, including knightly tournaments, open-air museum exhibits, markets, and master classes. These activities will be spread across parks and “Moscow Seasons” locations throughout the city.

The festival will take place in parks such as Moskino Film Park, Mitino Landscape Park, and Gorky Park, as well as district venues of “Moscow Seasons.” Each location will feature activities dedicated to specific historical eras.

For instance, Yu.M. Luzhkov Park will host “The Golden Age of Ancient Russia,” featuring maneuvers, battles, and equestrian competitions. Aqueduct Park will present “Ancient Rome. The Year of the Four Emperors,” with gladiatorial fights and theater performances.

Mitino Landscape Park will focus on the Napoleonic Wars with “Confrontation of Emperors. From Schöngrabern to Wertingen,” while Pechatniki Park will explore “Medieval Russia.” Moskino Film Park will showcase multiple programs, including “Victorious 45th. Moscow Chronicles” and “XVII century – the era of change.”

The Boulevard Ring will feature an open-air museum with exhibits of historical artifacts and a photo exhibition from renowned museums. Reenactors will provide excursions and interactive programs.

All festival venues are free to enter, and participation in activities is also free. The venues will be open from 11:00 to 21:00 on weekdays and from 10:00 to 22:00 on weekends and holidays.
