The “Crossroads of the North” festival will immerse visitors in the early Middle Ages, taking place on July 12th in the Arkhangelsk region. The free event will offer a glimpse into the lives of settlers in the North through historical reconstructions.
Guests can explore various interactive platforms that showcase different aspects of life in the region’s history. A streltsy garrison from the era of Ivan the Terrible will be recreated, alongside demonstrations of 18th-20th century Pomor life.
Visitors will have the opportunity to learn traditional skills and crafts. Activities include weaving a Pomor net and sampling medieval dishes.
The festival program includes unique performances and displays. Attendees can listen to grandmother’s tales set to rock music and witness ancient fabric creation, a working forge, and Tsar’s army training.
The “Crossroads of the North” festival will be held in the “Our Place” park, located in the village of Kirlasovo, Primorsky district. Admission is free.
