Petr Kolesov, the head of the Uralmash mixed martial arts club “Two-Headed Eagle,” has been detained in Yekaterinburg for the public display of Nazi symbols. A report was filed against him under Part 1, Article 20.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation.
The court is expected to rule on the administrative case soon, with Kolesov likely facing time in a special detention center.
Kolesov’s body features numerous neo-Nazi tattoos, including a swastika on his chest and the word “skinhead” tattooed on his fingers.
Authorities are planning an inspection of the “Two-Headed Eagle” sports club (formerly known as Patriot), which is expected to be temporarily closed.
According to a source, Kolesov allegedly trained another neo-Nazi who attacked two homeless individuals in Yekaterinburg in April, resulting in one fatality. The attacker claimed childhood trauma as the motive, despite having trained children at the fighting club for the past two years.
In a separate incident, hooligans in Yekaterinburg were previously jailed for drawing swastikas and making death threats. Additionally, last fall, 15 students were expelled from a Ural college following a photograph showing them posing with a swastika.
