Road Closures and Public Transportation Changes Announced for St. Petersburg’s Scarlet Sails Festival

St. Petersburg is implementing road closures in preparation for the annual Scarlet Sails выпускников (graduates) festival, leading to adjustments in the city’s public transportation system. These changes will affect bus, trolleybus, and tram routes at various times throughout June.

Several bus routes will experience temporary suspensions and detours. On June 10, from 20:35 to 21:10 on June 11, and from 21:00 to 21:30 on June 12, buses No. 6, 100, and 262 will suspend service. From 21:20 on June 11 to 1:30 on June 12, from 21:50 on June 12 to 2:15 on June 13, from 0:00 on June 24 to 8:00 on June 25, and from 0:00 to 8:00 on June 30, buses No. 7, 10, 24, and 191 will be rerouted. Buses No. 46 and 76 will also have altered routes from 21:50 on June 11 to 1:30 on June 12 and from 21:50 on June 12 to 2:15 on June 13. Trolleybus services will also be impacted by the road closures. Trolleybus No. 12 will suspend operations from 20:35 to 21:10 on June 11 and from 21:00 to 21:30 on June 12 due to the Blagoveshchensky Bridge closure. On June 11 from 21:20 until the end of service, and on June 12, 15, 16, and 17 from 21:50 and 22:30 until the end of service respectively, trolleybuses No. 1, 7, 10, and 11 will follow alternative routes. From the start of service until 6:00 on June 16, 17, and 18, trolleybuses No. 1, 7, and 10 will operate on modified routes, while trolleybus No. 11 will follow route No. 5.

Tram route No. 6 will be adjusted on June 11 and 12. From 21:50 until the end of service, it will run to Kronverksky Prospekt, terminating at the “Kronverksky Prospekt” stop.

The initial restrictions related to the Scarlet Sails preparations began on June 5. Further road closures in the city center, primarily affecting bridges, started on June 11. The public is advised to check the “Organizer of Transportation” website for the most up-to-date information on route changes. There is currently no information available regarding changes to the metro’s operating schedule.
