Passengers aboard the “Yuri Andropov” cruise ship experienced digestive issues, with some seeking medical attention for suspected food poisoning, during a themed cruise titled “To Space.” The incident occurred on a cruise organized by Vodohod, scheduled from June 9 to 11, traveling from St. Petersburg to Valaam and back.

Several passengers sought medical attention on the second day with symptoms suggesting poisoning. A passenger, identified as Ivan, believes the cause was the previous day’s dinner served onboard.

According to Ivan, many passengers lined up at the ship’s medical center and were given activated charcoal. Passengers expressed their frustration at the reception, requesting refunds due to missed meals and excursions.

Vodohod representatives recorded these requests and assured passengers that the company would contact them.
