Russian Graduates Take Unified State Exam in English and Computer Science

Today, Russian graduates participated in the oral section of the Unified State Exam (EGE) in English and also tackled the computer science exam. The computer science exam is being administered over two days.

In Moscow alone, over 17,400 students chose computer science as their specialized subject. The Department of Education and Science provided this information to the press.

The computer science EGE is a lengthy assessment, lasting three hours and 55 minutes. The exam incorporates automated scoring, with each participant’s computer equipped with software to evaluate task accuracy.

The exam encompasses 27 tasks, categorized by difficulty: 11 basic, 11 advanced, and 5 of higher difficulty. A minimum score of 44 points is required for university admission. Results are expected to be released by June 25.

Some students faced technical difficulties. One student reported that their laptop froze during the exam. Others mentioned delays at the start due to software issues.

Some graduates shared their experiences after the exam. One student prepared using a YouTube video, while another admitted to not preparing at all. Some students found particular tasks, such as numbers 25 and 26, to be challenging.
