Novosibirsk residents should anticipate traffic delays as the Siberian Generating Company (SGC) undertakes heating main repairs at the intersection of Nemirovich-Danchenko and Sibiryakov-Gvardeytsev streets. The utility work, already underway, involves replacing a section of the heating main located beneath the roadway.
The project is being implemented in phases to minimize disruption, but lane closures are unavoidable. Significant traffic congestion was observed starting June 6, with jams extending up to three kilometers.
From June 6 to 19, three lanes of traffic are partially blocked heading towards Karl Marx Square from the intra-quarter passage near Nemirovich-Danchenko, 106, to Sibiryakov-Gvardeytsev street.
From June 20 to 23, expect a partial closure of one lane on Sibiryakov-Gvardeytsev towards Karl Marx Square, along with the closure of tram tracks in both directions. A partial closure of one lane is also scheduled towards Efremov Square during this period.
From June 23 to July 15, three lanes will be partially closed towards Efremov Square, stretching from the turn off Nemirovich-Danchenko near the “Soviet Siberia” printing house (Nemirovich-Danchenko, 104) to Sibiryakov-Gvardeytsev street.
SGC is also conducting utility work near the building at Nemirovich-Danchenko, 104, scheduled to continue from May 30 to July 5. The company has stated its intention to expedite the work and potentially complete it ahead of schedule at all stages.
