A plasterer died after falling from the eighth floor of a building under construction in the Krasnoobsk working settlement. The incident happened on Monday, June 9, according to the State Labor Inspectorate in the Novosibirsk Region.
The worker fell from a balcony slab lacking protective barriers designed to prevent falls. He was employed by an individual entrepreneur.
The fall resulted in the worker’s death. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
Specialists are currently investigating the circumstances and causes of the accident. This includes inspecting the scene, interviewing witnesses, and questioning the employer. A legal review of documents pertaining to the employee’s work activities will also be conducted.
The State Labor Inspectorate has initiated an inspection to determine compliance with labor laws, including those related to worker safety.
If any violations of labor protection regulations are discovered, those responsible will be held accountable. The findings of the investigation will be submitted to the investigative authorities for further action.
This incident follows another recent workplace fatality in Novosibirsk, where an electric and gas welder died at an enterprise in the Dzerzhinsky district earlier in June.
