Novosibirsk was blanketed in a thick fog on Saturday, May 31st, significantly reducing visibility across the city. The fog was so dense that it obscured the upper floors of high-rise buildings, particularly in the city center.
Residents reported that visibility was extremely limited. Those living on upper floors were unable to see neighboring buildings from their windows.
Despite the foggy conditions, many residents captured atmospheric photos and videos of the unusual weather phenomenon and shared them with local news outlets. Myasnikova Street was particularly affected.
According to weather forecasts, the fog is expected to dissipate, giving way to sunny conditions later in the day. Temperatures are predicted to rise to +23 degrees Celsius.
The unusual weather follows a period of unseasonable cold. Novosibirsk experienced several days of snowfall earlier in the week.
