Novosibirsk beaches are currently open to visitors, but swimming remains prohibited pending authorization from Rospotrebnadzor. This announcement was made at a recent operational meeting held in the mayor’s office.
While the beaches have been accessible since June 1, 2024, swimming is not yet permitted. Authorities are awaiting the necessary sanitary and epidemiological approvals.
Four beaches are located in the “At the Sea of Ob” park, with one additional beach in the “Bugrinskaya Roshcha” park. Positive expert opinions have been received following water and sand sample testing, confirming compliance with safety standards.
The Directorate of City Parks has formally requested Rospotrebnadzor to issue the official sanitary and epidemiological conclusion. Swimming will be officially permitted as soon as this conclusion is received.
Mayor Maxim Kudryavtsev has emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness at the beaches and in Novosibirsk parks. He has requested a thorough analysis of trash can capacity and cleaning frequency to address any issues.
