Authorities in Novosibirsk are seeking a new contractor to install technical security systems in the flood-prone “Kamenka” park, with a deadline for applications set for June 16. The project, plagued by delays due to the area’s natural features, aims to enhance the park’s safety and prevent future flooding issues.
The winning company will be responsible for implementing a comprehensive technical security system within approximately three months of signing the contract. The city is prepared to allocate up to 34.3 million rubles for the project, which comes with a three-year warranty period.
Work on the Kamenka Park began several years ago and faced numerous setbacks. Originally slated for completion in 2023, the project has been repeatedly delayed. Last year, the mayor’s office terminated its contract with the previous contractor, PSK “Razvitie,” and sought approximately 18 million rubles in damages.
A subcontractor is also involved in a dispute with the city administration. The completion of the park’s improvement is now scheduled for November of this year.
