A section of an apartment building in Aleysk, Russia, collapsed on June 9th, prompting the evacuation of residents. The incident occurred at 156 Serdyuka Street in a two-story building, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Altai Territory.

The collapse affected a corner section of the building, specifically at the level of non-residential premises on both the first and second floors. Authorities suspect that repair work and potential undermining of the foundation may have contributed to the collapse.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported as a result of the incident, and there is no immediate threat of further destruction. All residents of the affected building were safely evacuated and are currently being housed in a temporary accommodation center provided by the local authorities.

Specialists are currently on-site investigating the cause of the collapse and assessing the extent of the damage. This incident follows a separate event in the village of Lnikha in the Toguchinsky district of the Novosibirsk region, where a man was found under the rubble of a building.
