Over 73,000 applications have already been submitted for the second season of the all-Russian competition “This is Our Family,” according to First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration, Sergei Kirienko. Registration remains open until September 14th.
The competition, which drew 600,000 participants in its first season, aims to strengthen family bonds and promote intergenerational connection. Kirienko highlighted the positive impact of the previous season, noting improved communication among family members and the active involvement of older generations.
The new season will focus on Russia’s cultural heritage. Contestants in the initial stage will be tasked with creating a family museum, writing a book about their ancestors for the 80th anniversary of Victory, and preparing a unique family dish.
The competition is open to families across all regions of Russia and in 23 foreign countries. Currently, the most active regions in terms of applications are Moscow, the Moscow Region, St. Petersburg, and the Krasnodar Territory.
Participation requires a team of at least four individuals from three generations, including children aged 5 to 17. Winning teams from the previous year utilized their prize certificates to improve their living conditions.
