The mayor of Krasnoyarsk, Vladislav Loginov, has been detained on suspicion of accepting a large-scale bribe totaling over 180 million rubles. The Investigative Committee of Russia reports that Loginov allegedly received the bribe between 2018 and 2024 while holding positions as First Deputy Mayor and Mayor.
The bribe was reportedly provided by the head of a commercial organization in the form of money and payment for the construction of a bathhouse on Loginov’s property. It was intended to secure winning bids for road repair tenders in Krasnoyarsk.
Searches have been conducted in Loginov’s office, his home, and the Municipal Institution “Department of Roads, Infrastructure and Landscaping,” leading to the seizure of relevant documents and items. Loginov has been charged, and a measure of restraint will be determined soon.
Political scientist Alexander Chernyavsky has commented on the detention, describing it as a “headache for the governor.”
