Vladislav Loginov, the Mayor of Krasnoyarsk, has been detained and charged with accepting a large-scale bribe totaling over 180 million rubles between 2018 and 2024. He allegedly received the bribe, while serving as both first deputy mayor and mayor, from the head of a commercial organization in exchange for ensuring the company won road repair tenders in Krasnoyarsk. The bribe was allegedly given as cash and payment for the construction of a bathhouse on his property.
Separately, a woman in Voskresensk near Moscow has confessed to murdering her five-year-old daughter. According to reports, the woman strangled the girl with a bathrobe belt and then drowned her in the bathtub.
Loginov’s arrest took place on the morning of June 9, prompting searches of his office, home, and the “Department of Roads, Infrastructure and Landscaping.” Investigators seized documents related to municipal contracts and other relevant items. He now faces charges and awaits the selection of a restraint measure.
In the Moscow region, the suspect reportedly strangled her daughter after the child asked for water while watching cartoons, also stabbing her in the neck before drowning her, then texting her husband “I’m tired of you, I’m killing our daughter.” Neighbors described the woman, Tatyana, as friendly and loving towards her daughter, expressing disbelief at the tragic event. A criminal case has been opened and the woman has been detained.
