Dozens of residents in the Zayeltsovsky district of Novosibirsk are without electricity following damage to a power cable line. Rosseti Novosibirsk reported that the incident has affected several transformer substations and apartment buildings on Kholodilnaya and Timiryazeva streets.

Four teams, an electrical laboratory, and specialized equipment are currently working to locate and repair the damage. The efforts are complicated by the high density of underground infrastructure, which creates signal interference from parallel communications.

Power engineers are using special equipment to pinpoint the exact location of the cable fault. Once the damaged section is identified, earthworks will be carried out to access the cable and perform the necessary repairs.

Rosseti Novosibirsk estimates that power will be fully restored by 3 a.m. on June 10. In the meantime, a generator is being used to provide partial power supply to consumers affected by the outage.

This incident follows a previous power outage near Novosibirsk that left private homes in two villages without electricity.
