A large-scale evacuation occurred at the “Mega” shopping center in Novosibirsk this morning, June 9, prompting the removal of visitors from the premises and restrictions on vehicle access.
The event, which took place at 10:00 am, was attributed to a scheduled test of the shopping center’s evacuation management system, according to the “Mega” press service. The safety of visitors and employees remains the top priority.
“Mega” representatives emphasized the implementation of stringent protocols and regular security system tests. Safety training is regularly provided to employees to ensure preparedness for various scenarios.
This incident follows a previous evacuation in Novosibirsk at the end of April, during which a multi-story building was cleared due to an apartment fire.
