More than 25 drones were detected and destroyed by air defense systems in the Voronezh region overnight on June 9 across eight municipalities. According to Governor Alexander Gusev, no injuries were reported.

The incident resulted in some damage. Debris from a downed drone ignited a fire in a forest and dry grass in the eastern part of the region, but the blaze has been extinguished.

In the same area, a low-pressure gas pipeline was damaged by debris, temporarily cutting off gas to 22 subscribers. Additionally, one house sustained damage to its roof, wall, and cornice, and a car window was broken.

“Operational services are working on the spot,” Gusev stated, adding, “The danger of a UAV attack in the region remains.”

The Ministry of Defense reported that 49 drones were destroyed and intercepted overnight across various Russian regions, with nine of those over the Voronezh region.
