A married couple in the Moscow region, 64-year-old Sergey and 60-year-old Elena, sustained injuries when debris from a downed drone fell on their property in the Yubileyny horticultural partnership near Istra. The incident occurred during a massive UAV attack on the Moscow region on the night of June 7, during which nine drones were reportedly shot down.

Elena reported that she and her husband are currently hospitalized in Moscow, where she underwent surgery. While she stated her condition is stable, her husband’s injuries are more serious.

According to Elena, her husband was struck in the abdomen by debris when they were inside a small building on their property, which was subsequently damaged.

A neighbor indicated that Sergey was injured when a metal fragment entered his back and penetrated his abdomen as the couple attempted to find shelter. Tatyana Vitusheva, the head of the Istra municipal district, has characterized the man’s injuries as moderately severe.

The drone strike also caused damage to the couple’s private house, two outbuildings, and a car.
