A brother and sister, Vika and Grisha, who disappeared in the Ural forest last summer, were found alive after an extensive search that captivated the entire country. The announcement of their discovery brought immense relief and joy to people across Russia.
The children vanished in a remote area at the beginning of last summer, prompting a large-scale search operation involving both ground teams and aerial support. Many individuals who could not physically participate in the search offered their support through prayers.
The search headquarters was officially closed one year ago, on June 8, after the children were located. Following their rescue, the exhausted siblings were immediately transported to a nearby hospital. From there, they were taken by helicopter to their hometown of Tyumen.
Grisha Krepp recounted their ordeal, stating that they survived by huddling together with their dogs for warmth, comparing themselves to penguins. They filtered water using a T-shirt. He admitted that he had moments of despair, fearing that they would not be found. However, Grisha’s determination to live and his desire to save his sister and dogs motivated him to persevere. He expressed his aspirations to travel and experience life to the fullest.
