Folk artist Filipp Kirkorov has made a full recovery from a burn injury he sustained in April during a concert in St. Petersburg. He confirmed his recovery to reporters at the Muz-TV Prize ceremony.

The incident took place at the Oktyabrsky Concert Hall when fireworks ignited behind him, causing his sleeve to catch fire.

Initially, it was reported that Kirkorov suffered a second-degree burn complicated by skin necrosis. This injury forced him to miss a concert at the Kremlin Palace honoring David Tukhmanov’s 85th birthday, as his recovery took longer than anticipated.

His press secretary, Ekaterina Uspenskaya, stated that his elbow became inflamed and the wound was slow to heal, requiring regular medical attention. Kirkorov received constant medical supervision, including dressings and occasional overnight stays at the clinic.

The artist chose not to address speculations regarding other causes of his treatment. Surgeon Timur Khaydarov clarified that the complications were unrelated to any prior plastic surgeries, as his latest procedures were completed over a year ago. Burn specialists oversaw Kirkorov’s treatment throughout his recovery.
