Philipp Kirkorov made his first public appearance after being hospitalized, announcing a summer tour at the MUZ-TV award ceremony. He expressed gratitude to friends and colleagues for their support following an injury sustained during a concert in St. Petersburg.
From the stage of “Live Arena”, Kirkorov thanked Sergey Lazarev, Yana Rudkovskaya, Timur Khaydarov, Victoria Shelyagova, and Andrey Malakhov for their prompt response and assistance in getting him medical attention. He credited them with sensing something was wrong and ensuring he received the necessary treatment.
The singer’s hospitalization followed an incident at the end of April during a concert at the BKZ “Oktyabrsky” in St. Petersburg. Pyrotechnic sparks ignited his clothing, resulting in burns. Kirkorov informed the audience that he had “got burned” at the time of the incident. He was hospitalized in the emergency surgery department at the end of May.
According to reports, doctors diagnosed Kirkorov with a second-degree burn on his left elbow, inflammation of the joint bursa, partial skin necrosis, erysipelas, and enlarged lymph nodes.
The 20th anniversary MUZ-TV award is being held in Moscow at the “Live Arena”, featuring both emerging and established artists competing for prizes in 13 categories.
