A large fire has engulfed a fuel and lubricant storage facility in Pushkino, Moscow Oblast, with firefighters battling the blaze across a significant area. The fire, covering approximately 8,100 square meters, is being tackled by over 50 firefighters and a dozen pieces of equipment.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the facility contained a variety of highly flammable materials, including gas cylinders, pallets, and barrels of flammable liquids, leading to the rapid expansion of the fire. Authorities dispatched a laboratory to the site to monitor air quality and ensure that levels of harmful substances do not exceed permissible limits.
Preliminary reports indicate that there have been no casualties as a result of the incident. The Pushkino City Prosecutor’s Office has assumed control of the situation. The office plans to conduct a thorough investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the fire once it has been fully extinguished.
