The IOWA band is at the center of controversy after vocalist Ekaterina Ivanchikova’s attire at a Children’s Day concert sparked outrage online. The singer’s choice of a tight-fitting jumpsuit featuring black and flesh-colored stripes, along with bulges at the hips, ignited a heated debate.
Boris Korchevnikov, Director General of Spas TV, voiced strong objections to the singer’s performance in Veliky Novgorod, particularly due to the proximity to religious artifacts. Korchevnikov described the costume as provocative, alleging it resembled “male genitalia” and was accompanied by dancers with striptease-like imagery.
Ivanchikova addressed the controversy on her Telegram channel, noting that she has worn the same outfit in previous performances in Moscow and St. Petersburg without incident. She expressed confusion about the sudden uproar.
Stylist Vladislav Lisovets defended the singer, highlighting her penchant for unique looks. He stated that he did not perceive the alleged resemblance and suggested critics view the dress in person.
In related news, stylist Alexander Rogov shared his own experience with cosmetic procedures. Rogov revealed that a liposuction procedure resulted in complications, leaving him with a significant scar on his buttock. He recounted the “terrible” experience on the show “Sama Menshova,” explaining that he required a corrective surgery years later. Despite the negative outcome, Rogov maintains that it is acceptable for men to seek plastic surgery.
