The “Silver Necklace” project, in collaboration with “Fontanka,” has been recognized at the “SeZaM” professional journalism competition of the Northwest, securing the “Hiking Mood” nomination. The award highlights the project’s success in promoting tourism and exploration within the Northwestern Federal District of Russia.

Lyubov Sovershayeva, Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Northwestern Federal District, expressed her enthusiasm for the project and its contribution to showcasing the “Silver Necklace of Russia.” She acknowledged the active participation of various media outlets in the Northwest in promoting the initiative.

The “Fontanka” editorial team conveyed their gratitude to the plenipotentiary office and Lyubov Sovershayeva for their organizational support, which facilitated the launch of the “Calendar of Events” for the Silver Necklace regions.

Alexander Gorshkov, editor-in-chief of “Fontanka,” also acknowledged Sergey Korneev, the project’s “godfather,” whose initial idea and direct involvement were instrumental in launching the “Silver Necklace” project with “Fontanka.”

The “SeZaM-2025” competition recognized excellence in various journalistic categories, including the “Award of the Year” won by GTRK “Komi Gor” and other awards for best publication, program series, and materials on social and economic issues, culture, and public action. A special prize from the Plenipotentiary Representative was awarded to Radio Modern Severo-Dvinsk for their “Shore of Hope” project.
