Novosibirsk is set to celebrate Russia Day on June 12th with a wide array of events, concerts, performances, and entertainment options. The city has prepared a program with most events being free to the public.
The main venue for the celebration will be the Mikhailovskaya Embankment, where the festivities will kick off at 12:00.
The Novosibirsk Academic Symphony Orchestra and the Novosibirsk Choir Chapel, under the direction of Rustam Dilmukhametov, will headline the entertainment on the embankment. In addition to the musical performances, interactive zones, workshops, and diverse activities catering to both children and adults will be available.
A dedicated area of the embankment will host the “Challenge” multi-sport festival. This festival will feature demonstrations and presentations from children’s sports schools and sections, alongside exhibitions from various sports clubs. Adjacent to the stage, the “Brave Games of the Peoples of Russia” festival will showcase folk and traditional games.
Parks and squares throughout Novosibirsk will also host events, inviting residents to participate in rollerblading, workshops, and exhibitions. The city anticipates a vibrant atmosphere as it celebrates Russia Day. Numerous festivals are planned throughout the first month of summer.
