Free Parking in Moscow During Russia Day Celebrations

Moscow will offer free parking in paid zones from June 12th to June 14th due to the Russia Day holiday. The announcement was made by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

The holiday, which falls on Thursday, June 12th, allows drivers to park without charge until Saturday, June 14th. This includes parking zones with varying tariffs, including those with dynamic pricing.

However, parking lots enclosed by barriers will continue to operate as usual and will remain paid.

Russia Day is a non-working holiday, and this year, Russians will have four consecutive days off from June 12th to June 15th.

Moscow’s paid parking system has been in place since 2012 and has undergone regular expansions. Most recently, in April 2025, the paid parking zone was extended to encompass 11 additional districts.
