The Leningrad Zoo is showcasing two newly born Kamori goat kids and six Cameroon goat kids to the public starting June 6th. These adorable additions to the zoo family were born at the end of April.
The Kamori goat Cleopatra and three Cameroon goats Lira, Liana and Laguna, all first-time mothers, each welcomed two kids. The Cameroon goat kids boast a striking coat, predominantly white with light brown, gray, and black spots, while the Kamori goat kids exhibit the breed’s characteristic chocolate-red color and long ears.
Currently, all the goat kids are primarily nursing on their mother’s milk but have begun sampling adult food.
Each kid displays a unique personality. Some are naturally curious and energetic, fearlessly exploring their surroundings, leaping onto stumps, and engaging with zoo staff. Others are more cautious, taking a gradual approach to discovering the world.
Visitors can observe these charming goat kids in an enclosure near the “Children’s Zoo” area.
