Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 82 Ukrainian drones across eight regions, including the Moscow region, between 2:30 PM on June 6 and 12:00 AM on June 7 Moscow time. The coordinated attacks targeted the Bryansk, Belgorod, Kursk, Oryol, Tula, Ryazan, Kaluga, and Moscow regions.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported that six drones were shot down over the Moscow region since the evening of June 6. According to Sobyanin, there were no casualties, and emergency services are responding to the crash sites.
In the Kursk region, drone debris caused damage to a building facade, a water supply pipe, and an electric loader, as reported by acting governor Alexander Khinshtein.
Authorities are urging residents to remain vigilant and report any drone sightings to emergency services by calling 112. When reporting a drone sighting, individuals should provide their name and address, a description of the drone (including whether it is hovering or flying, its silhouette, and any flashing lights), and any sounds it is making (such as buzzing or sounds similar to a lawnmower or moped).
If a drone is found, it is crucial to leave the area immediately, warn others nearby if possible, and avoid approaching or touching the device. Instead, call 112 to report the find.
