The “Garazhane” festival, a celebration of modern garage culture, will take place on June 28th in Monchegorsk, Murmansk Oblast. This event aims to bridge generations and foster family traditions through a variety of activities and entertainment.

The festival is set to kick off at 1:00 PM on the shores of Lake Imandra and will run until 9:45 PM. Attendees can expect a diverse program featuring live music from cover bands such as NAVEKA BAND, Homeh, and “Stilyagi Band,” as well as performances by the “Pit-Stop” choreography collective. DJs Ermak and Gabur will keep the energy high with their music selections throughout the day.

In addition to the musical performances, the festival will offer a range of engaging activities for all ages. Competitions involving radio-controlled boats and SUP boards are planned, alongside contests, cosplay opportunities, and dance events. For those seeking hands-on experiences, master classes will be available in areas such as wire weaving, drawing, customization, and wood burning.

Food courts offering a specialized “garage menu” will ensure attendees stay refreshed throughout the day.

The organizers emphasize that the festival seeks to highlight the garage as more than just a storage space. “The goal of the festival is to show that garages are a ‘third place’ beyond the Arctic Circle, because they can be a place for the transmission of family traditions, a workshop for business and creativity, and not just a warehouse for storing things,” the organizers stated.
