Philipp Kirkorov’s Recovery from Concert Injuries Delayed Due to Complications

Philipp Kirkorov’s recovery from burns sustained during a concert in St. Petersburg is taking longer than expected due to complications from his diabetes. According to his representative, Ekaterina Uspenskaya, the singer’s elbow became inflamed following the burn, leading to a slower healing process.

The incident occurred during a performance at the Oktyabrsky Concert Hall where sparks from pyrotechnics ignited his clothing, causing burns to his skin. Kirkorov informed the audience at the time that he had “burned himself.” He was later hospitalized in the emergency surgery department at the end of May.

Doctors diagnosed him with a second-degree burn on his left elbow, inflammation of the joint capsule, partial skin necrosis, erysipelas, and enlarged lymph nodes.

Rumors of ruptured implants were dismissed by plastic surgeon Timur Khaydarov. Khaydarov stated that the information was false, emphasizing that doctors are focused on the singer’s health and that he has been hospitalized for two weeks.

Kirkorov recently addressed his fans, reflecting on the absence of his father’s birthday celebration, which the family observed a year ago. His father, Bedros Kirkorov, passed away on March 18 due to heart failure.

The singer’s last solo concerts were held in late April, and his scheduled appearance at the MUZ-TV Award ceremony has been canceled to allow for ongoing treatment.
