“Pobeda” Airlines has been found to have illegally abused its right to define carry-on luggage dimensions, according to the Moscow Interregional Transport Prosecutor’s Office. This conclusion follows an inspection conducted on behalf of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia.
The Prosecutor General’s Office stated that “Pobeda” deliberately created unacceptable conditions by significantly reducing carry-on luggage dimensions, effectively preventing passengers from carrying items legally allowed free of charge.
The investigation revealed that the airline reduced the width of permissible carry-on items to just 4 cm. This restriction impacted the free transportation of items such as baby carriers, garment bags, folding wheelchairs, handbags, bouquets of flowers, briefcases, and backpacks.
The Shcherbinsky District Court of Moscow has recognized these actions by “Pobeda” as illegal.
