Moscow faced a drone attack on June 6, prompting the activation of air defense systems and temporary airport restrictions.

According to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, air defense forces successfully intercepted and destroyed a drone targeting the city. Emergency services are currently addressing the site where the drone debris landed.

Rosaviatsiya reported that Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports experienced temporary restrictions on arrivals and departures to ensure the safety of civilian aircraft. The restrictions were implemented at 5:51 PM.

Shortly after the initial report, Mayor Sobyanin announced the destruction of two additional drones.

Earlier that night, air defense systems had already shot down ten unmanned aerial vehicles as they approached the capital. The mayor did not provide details regarding any potential consequences from the overnight drone activity.
