Increased Tourist Flow to the Azov Sea Resorts Following Black Sea Oil Spill

The Azov Sea resorts are experiencing a surge in popularity following restrictions on beaches in the Anapa and Temryuk district due to an oil spill. This has led to a significant increase in tourists flocking to the Azov coast.

Resort locations like Yeysk, Golubitskaya, Dolzhanskaya villages, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk have seen up to 300,000 tourists per season. The increased demand has resulted in accommodation shortages, with many tours selling out by mid-spring. Late planners may need to consider camping for their 2025 vacations.

The appeal of the Azov Sea lies in its shallow waters, predominantly two- or three-star hotels, relatively fewer crowds, and a more relaxed atmosphere. These factors attract those seeking a quieter and less crowded vacation experience.

Sergey Romashkin, Vice President of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia, provided details on finding the best vacation spots in Azov for 2025 in a short video.
