St. Petersburg residents should brace for a warm and rainy weekend, with potentially unpleasant wind conditions on Saturday.
The city’s chief weather forecaster, Alexander Kolesov, announced on June 6th that while temperatures will be relatively mild, those planning outdoor activities should be prepared for inclement weather.
Tonight, temperatures are expected to range from +13 to +15 degrees Celsius. On Saturday, the temperature will be between +20 and +22 degrees Celsius. Sunday will bring cooler temperatures, with highs not expected to exceed +20 degrees Celsius.
Saturday will feature an “unpleasant” southwesterly to westerly wind, increasing throughout the day to speeds of 7-12 m/s.
Rain is expected tonight and on Sunday, though the exact timing, location, and intensity of the precipitation are uncertain due to the rapid movement of an atmospheric front.
Looking ahead to the beginning of the new week, preliminary forecasts indicate the arrival of another cyclone from the west. This system is expected to bring heavy rains and lower temperatures further, with daytime highs reaching only +16 to +18 degrees Celsius.
