Novosibirsk authorities are planning to develop Krasny Prospekt and include it in tourist routes. The project focuses on enhancing the appeal of the city’s central avenue for visitors.
The section of Krasny Prospekt from the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral to Lenin Street is slated for improvements. This area is home to several significant landmarks and tourist attractions, including the Cathedral of Alexander Nevsky, the Hundred-Apartment Building, the Krai Executive Committee Building, the Novosibirsk State Art Museum, the TsK19 Culture Center, the House with Clocks, the Chapel of Nicholas the Wonderworker, and the Trading House of Merchant F.D. Mashtakov.
The municipality also highlighted the presence of popular restaurants and cafes along this stretch of Krasny Prospekt, which contribute to its appeal.
The area is already a popular route for guided tours from private guides and the Novosibirsk Museum. Independent tourists frequently explore the area using audio guides available on various platforms.
As part of these efforts, Novosibirsk is updating its tourist website, with a new version expected by the end of 2025. The updated site will feature a section dedicated to tourist routes, with Krasny Prospekt prominently featured.
