The All-Russian Verification Works (VPR) for the 2025-2026 academic year will be held from April 20 to May 20. This was announced by the Federal Service for Supervision of Education and Science (Rosobrnadzor) on May 30.
Schools will independently determine the specific dates for the assessments within this period.
The VPR will be administered to students in grades 4 through 8, as well as tenth grade students. Russian language and mathematics are compulsory subjects for all grades.
In addition to these core subjects, 4th grade students will be assessed in one randomly selected subject from literary reading, the world around us, or a foreign language. Students in grades 5–8 and 10 will also complete VPR assessments in two additional subjects: one natural science and one humanities subject, chosen at random.
Students in grades 7 and 8 will take VPR assessments in mathematics and physics at two levels of difficulty: basic and advanced.
This announcement comes as the main stage of the Unified State Exam (EGE) is currently underway.
