A significant traffic jam has formed near the Prospekt Mira metro station in Moscow, close to the “Olympiysky” sports complex, as a result of a power line breaking on the tram tracks. The incident has led to substantial delays and route alterations for tram services.

Tram routes #7 and 50 are experiencing delays due to damage to the contact network caused by a third-party vehicle, according to the Department of Transport.

The resulting congestion stretches along Prospekt Mira from Sukarevskaya station to Protopopovsky Lane in one direction, and from Bolnichny Lane to the intersection with the Garden Ring in the opposite direction.

Motorists report that an accident occurred near the “Olympiysky” sports complex stop, blocking several lanes of traffic.

One motorist noted on Yandex.Maps that the right, middle, and left lanes are all at a standstill.
