Streets near mosques in St. Petersburg will be closed on the morning of June 6th due to the Muslim holiday of Kurban Bayram. The closures will be in effect from 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM, impacting several major routes.
Fifteen bus routes and one tram route will be diverted to accommodate the traffic restrictions. The changes will be in effect from the start of public transport movement until 9:00 AM.
The following streets will be closed to traffic during the specified hours:
- Moskovsky Prospekt from Fontanka Embankment to Sadovaya Street
- Konny and Krestyansky lanes from Malaya Posadskaya Street to Kronverksky Prospekt
- Kronverksky Prospekt from Kuibysheva Street to Kamennoostrovsky Prospekt
- Repishcheva Street from Parashutnaya Street to Verbnya Street
Additionally, stopping will be prohibited from midnight to 9:00 AM on the specified sections of Moskovsky Prospekt and Konny Lane.
The affected bus routes are No. 28, 50, 70, 71, 122, 127, 134A, 134B, 170, 172, 182, 208, 235, 237, and 262. Tram route No. 6 will also be affected. Detailed information regarding the altered routes is available on the website of the “Organizer of Transportation”.
