Metroproekt Seeks Contractor for Brown Line Engineering Surveys

Metroproekt is seeking a contractor to conduct engineering surveys for the brown metro line extension from Karetnaia station to Suvorovskaya-1 station in St. Petersburg. The project focuses on the first launch complex, including infrastructure for the Ligovsky Prospekt-1 station and tunnel sections.

The competition, announced on June 5, has a starting price of 48 million. The surveys encompass the second exit from the existing Ligovsky Prospekt-1 station, the planned Ligovsky Prospekt-2 station exit through the underground lobby, and the working and ventilation shaft of mine No. 854.

The project involves constructing a single-track tunnel at a depth of 56-66 meters, the starting pit of the Ligovsky Prospekt-2 station’s underground lobby for an inclined passage, an underground passage to the High-Speed Rail (HSR) terminal at the Moskovsky railway station, and an administrative and amenity building.

The priority is to create a second exit from the Ligovsky Prospekt-1 station, connecting it to the future Ligovsky Prospekt-2 station on the brown line. This urgency stems from the planned 2028 launch of the Moscow-St. Petersburg HSR, necessitating a metro connection to its terminal.

An administrative and amenity building with a metro exit is planned for the site of a former business center. Metroproekt recently commissioned a passenger traffic calculation for the metro section from Karetnaia to Suvorovskaya-1, including the intermediate stations Ligovsky Prospekt-2 and Znamenskaya.
