A fatal collision on the Yekaterinburg – Shadrinsk – Kurgan highway on the evening of June 2nd resulted in injuries to two siblings. The victims, 15-year-old Maxim and 20-year-old Almina Kasimova, reside in Verkhnyaya Pyshma.

The Sverdlovsk State Traffic Inspectorate reported that the accident occurred when the 38-year-old driver of a “VAZ-2114” veered into the oncoming lane and collided with a Sitrak truck with a semi-trailer. The driver of the VAZ-2114 died at the scene.

Maxim Kasimova is currently in serious condition at Hospital No. 9 in Yekaterinburg, according to a family friend. Almina Kasimova is reportedly doing well. The circumstances surrounding their travel are unclear, although it is suspected that they may have been hitchhiking to Kamensk-Uralsky.
