Konstantin Starodubtsev has been appointed as the acting head of the Siberian Customs Administration, effective June 10. The announcement was made by the press service of the department.
Starodubtsev, who holds the rank of Major General, succeeds Colonel Sergei Avdeev, who retired after many years of service.
Born in Kemerovo in 1971, Starodubtsev graduated from the Kuzbass Polytechnic Institute and the Russian Customs Academy. He has been working in customs authorities since 1995, beginning as an inspector in the cargo department of the Kuzbass Customs.
Throughout his career, he progressed to become the first deputy head of the Kemerovo Customs. From 2015 to 2021, he served as the head of the Chita Customs, and most recently, he led the Omsk Customs until June 2024.
This appointment follows the recent naming of a new chief architect for Novosibirsk, Ivan Shturbabin.
