A woman was hospitalized with injuries of varying severity after being struck by a reversing garbage truck in the Rodniki microdistrict of Novosibirsk on June 3rd. The incident occurred on Svechnikova Street, in the yard of house number 9.

The driver of the KAMAZ garbage truck, born in 2001, was reversing when he hit the pedestrian. The pedestrian, a woman born in 1978, was walking behind the vehicle at the time of the accident.

According to reports, the woman had just exited a building and was wearing white when the truck struck her. After being knocked down, she was unable to stand on her own and was assisted by a passerby.

The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Novosibirsk region confirmed that the incident is under investigation. The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently being examined by authorities.
