Moscow’s Rospotrebnadzor has released an updated list of bodies of water approved for swimming, indicating changes in water quality across various recreational areas. While some locations have seen improvements, others have experienced a decline, leading to restrictions on swimming.
The supervisory authority reports that water quality has deteriorated in five recreation areas, making them unsuitable for swimming. These include Lake Chernoe in ZelAO, Lake Beloe in VAO, Serebryany Bor 2 and Serebryany Bor 3 in SZAO, and Meshcherskoe in ZAO. These locations will function as beaches without swimming, offering opportunities for recreation, sports, and other leisure activities.
Swimming is strictly prohibited in several locations, including “Levoberezhye” and “Dinamo” beach in SAO, as well as Golovinskie Ponds and Bolshoy Sadovy Pond, also in SAO.
Four areas have been officially approved for swimming: Troparevo in YuZAO, Pionersky Pond in TsAO, Shkolnoe Lake in ZelAO, and Putyaevsky Pond No. 1 in VAO.
Bolshoy Gorodskoy Pond in ZelAO remains under reconstruction this summer, according to Rospotrebnadzor.
