A family from Novosibirsk was seriously injured in a car accident in the Altai Republic on the evening of July 31, resulting in five people being hospitalized. The accident occurred near the village of Kyzyl-Ozek in the Maiminsky district. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic, a 48-year-old local resident driving a GAZ car lost control and drove into the oncoming lane, colliding with a Skoda Octavia driven by a 45-year-old resident of Novosibirsk.
In a separate incident, a seven-month-old girl drowned in a bathtub in Novosibirsk while her mother slept. The mother was sentenced for causing the death of her daughter through negligence. On May 1, 2025, the 40-year-old woman, while intoxicated, fell asleep in her apartment in the Oktyabrsky district, leaving two young children unattended. The defendant’s four-year-old son helped his seven-month-old sister into the bathroom, where he opened the hot water tap and blocked the drain, causing the bathtub to fill and the girl to drown.
Earlier, at Tolmachevo Airport on the night of July 30-31, a lamp fell on a 12-year-old child. The incident occurred on the first floor of Sector C. First aid was provided on the spot, and the child was sent to a medical institution for further examination. The airport administration has stated that the child and family will be provided with the necessary support.
