Police in St. Petersburg conducted a raid on auto repair shops located on Shafirovsky Prospekt, resulting in the detection of migration violations and other infractions. The operation, which took place on July 31, targeted potential illegal employment and vehicle-related offenses.
During the raid, authorities inspected nearly 300 employees working in the garages and discovered that a number of them were foreign citizens. While the majority of these individuals were in St. Petersburg legally, nine were found to be in the country illegally.
These nine individuals now face administrative charges, and authorities are considering their deportation. In addition to the migration violations, police examined 67 vehicles undergoing repairs at the workshops.
The inspections revealed several instances of non-compliance with window tinting regulations, as well as the presence of vehicles with archive license plates. The drivers of these vehicles have been held accountable and face administrative penalties.
A notable discovery during the raid was a Bentley car modified with tracks, possibly brought to the repair shop for maintenance.
