Three unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were intercepted and destroyed by air defense systems as they approached Moscow, according to official reports. The Ministry of Defense’s air defense systems successfully engaged the drones.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced the incident on his Telegram channel at 5:37 PM, stating that emergency services are currently at the crash sites.

This incident follows a series of similar reports in recent days, with Mayor Sobyanin regularly updating the public on repelled UAV attacks. Earlier in the day, at 1:21 PM, the mayor reported the first drone being shot down, followed by announcements of the destruction of the second at 1:59 PM, the third at 3:19 PM, and the fourth at 4:56 PM.

According to official data, a total of seven UAVs have been shot down on approach to Moscow throughout the day.

Despite the reported UAV activity, Rosaviatsiya has not announced any restrictions on the operation of airports in the capital region.
