Around 500 Schoolchildren Expelled from Unified State Exam

Nearly 500 schoolchildren have been expelled from the Unified State Exam (EGE) within a two-week period, with a significant portion caught using cheat sheets. According to Rosobrnadzor, as of June 4th, 483 individuals were unable to complete the exam due to various violations.

Of those expelled, 153 students were found to be in possession of mobile phones, while 283 were caught with reference materials. These figures highlight the ongoing challenge of maintaining exam integrity.

The main examination period is scheduled to continue until June 23rd, leaving students with further opportunities to demonstrate their knowledge in upcoming subjects. On June 5th, students are slated to take exams in biology, geography, and foreign languages, depending on their individual choices.

The Unified State Exam is a crucial assessment for Russian students as it serves as both a graduation exam from secondary school and an entrance exam for universities. Strict regulations are in place to ensure fairness and prevent cheating, with expulsion being a consequence for violating these rules.
