A Man Was Sent to the Hospital and Received Help Restoring His Documents

A Novosibirsk resident, owing his children over a million rubles in alimony, has been apprehended after a year-long search and offered assistance in restoring his personal documents and receiving medical attention.

The 53-year-old man, who had been evading alimony payments, was found after being detained by police for public intoxication in Bolotnoye. Bailiffs, alerted to his location, arrived early in the morning and discovered he was being sheltered by neighbors. He was then taken to the department to complete an administrative protocol and warned of potential criminal prosecution if the debt remained unpaid.

During the interaction, it was discovered that he lacked proper documentation and was in need of medical care. The bailiffs facilitated the restoration of his passport and arranged a meeting with his children at the hospital, where he was receiving treatment. The children expressed their continued love for their father, with the son thanking the bailiffs for the reunion.

The court, upon reviewing the case, has sentenced the man to 20 hours of mandatory labor. Following his treatment, he will be required to complete his sentence and has been referred to the Population Employment Center. Further evasion of alimony payments could lead to criminal charges under Article 157 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, carrying a potential sentence of up to one year in prison.
