St. Petersburg drivers should prepare for disruptions as road repairs and water supply work will bring new traffic restrictions to five districts starting August 1. The State Administrative and Technical Inspection announced the changes on July 30.

Several key areas will be affected, with detours in place to mitigate congestion. Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly.

In the Krasnogvardeysky District, restrictions will be in place from August 1 to 7 at the intersection of Bolshaya Porokhovskaya Street and Metallistov Avenue. This is due to water supply reconstruction. The left turn from Bolshaya Porokhovskaya to Metallistov will be closed, with a detour provided along Energetikov Avenue and Degtyareva Street.

The Kurortny District will also experience congestion in Beloostrov due to road repairs. Until August 4, travel will be restricted on Sestroretsk Highway from Novoye Highway to house 65 on Sestroretsk Highway, including intersections. Detours will be possible along Novoye Highway, Tsentralnaya Street, and Zelenogorsk Highway.

The Primorsky District will see longer-term restrictions, lasting until September 14, due to road surface repairs on Torzhkovskaya Street from the Chernaya Rechka embankment to Serdobolskaya Street, and on Serdobolskaya from Torzhkovskaya Street to Bolshoy Sampsonievsky Prospekt. Detour options include Novosibirskaya Street, Lansky Highway, Omskaya, Torzhkovskaya, Beloostrovskaya and Studencheskaya Streets, Bolshoy Sampsonievsky Prospekt, Zemledelcheskaya Street, Vazassky Lane and Lisichanskaya Street.

In Pushkin, within the Pushkinsky District, road repairs will restrict traffic on Avtomobilnaya Street from Setevaya Street to Kolpinskoye Highway until August 10. Travel will be closed in the direction from Setevaya to Kolpinskoye. Detours are provided along Setevaya Street, Podbelsky Highway, Yachevsky, Vavilovsky and Vostochny Avenues, Promyshlennaya and Avtomobilnaya Streets.

Finally, in the Tsentralny District, traffic will be restricted on Shpalernaya Street from Liteiny Prospekt to Gagarinskaya Street until August 9 for road surface repairs. Detours will be possible along Shpalernaya, Gagarinskaya Street, and Kutuzov Embankment.
